TPN Spokesperson Ganjar Aiman Witjaksono Reported To Polda Metro

JAKARTA - Alliance of Civil Society Elements for Democracy reported Spokesperson (Jubir) of the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, Aiman Witjaksono to Polda Metro Jaya because of his statement that the Police were not neutral in the 2024 election.

"Regarding his statement that there was a friend of the Police who objected to receiving orders from his commander to win one of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Prabowo Gibran," said spokesman for the Alliance of Civil Society Elements for Democracy, Fikri Fakhruddin, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Fikri also considers Aiman Witjaksono's statement, who is also known as a presenter and journalist, not based on concrete and valid data, so that his party reports to Polda Metro Jaya.

"Because we consider Aiman's brother to spread hatred and allegations of hoaxes," he said.

Fikri also assessed that Aiman's statement had a negative effect on the Police. In addition, he claimed that the community was also harmed.

"Aiman Witjaksono, he is a legislative candidate who participated in the 2024 election contestation. It is very unfortunate if our candidate for leader has such an attitude, so in the future our democracy will be flawed, and will also be crippled during the trip, always rumored with hoaxes and spread of hatred," he said.

Fikri also brought a number of evidence related to the report. One of them is a scale released containing a video recording of Aiman who said the police were not neutral in the 2024 General Election through his personal Instagram account @aimanwitjaksono.

Fikri reported Aiman with the Crime of Information Crimes and Electronic Transactions Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions as referred to in Article 28 (2) Juncto Article 45 A Paragraph (2) RI Law NO.19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia No.11 of 2008 concerning ITE and Or Article 14 and Or Article 15 of Law No.1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.

Meanwhile, Aiman Witjaksono admitted that he did not know about the reporting of himself and everything he conveyed in the video according to the facts.

"I don't know about the report yet, frankly, everything I said yesterday was what I experienced, or it was a fact that I conveyed," he said when contacted, Monday.

Aiman also explained that he would follow and carry out everything according to the rules if he would be examined at Polda Metro Jaya.

"As good citizens, they must undergo everything regulated in the law," he said.
