Gerindra Hopes Prabowo-Gibran Gets Number Urut 2

The Gerindra Party hopes to get number two for presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka during the pair serial number draw, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said that he wanted to get number two because it was the same as the serial number obtained by the party led by Prabowo Subianto as a participant in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"If possible, get number two, Alhamdullilah," said Muzani after a consolidation event with Gerindra Party Legislative Candidates for the Regency/City, Provincial, and DPR RI levels throughout East Java in Surabaya, reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

According to him, the similarities between candidate pair serial numbers and party serial numbers did not only arise from Gerindra, two competitors from the Prabowo-Gibran pair were also said to have the same hopes.

"There is hope that the Anies-Muhaimin team will get number one because of the PKB (sequence number), Team Ganjar-Mahfud number three because there is a PDI-P," he said.

However, Muzani did not mind if during the draw, the Prabowo-Gibran pair did not get the expected serial number.

"We actually got any number, no problem," he said.
