JAKARTA - Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman was observed not attending a special plenary session with the agenda of inauguration and taking Suhartoyo's constitutional judge oath as Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK). The eight Constitutional Court judges who attended were Suhartoyo, Arief Hidayat, Wahiduddin Adams, Manahan MP Sitompul, Daniel Yusmic Pancastaki Foekh, M. Guntur Hamzah, Saldi Isra, and Enny Nurbaningsih. During Suhartoyo's inauguration, the Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) Jimly Asshiddiqie and Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy’ari were also present. Suhartoyo was elected as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court through an election by deliberation and consensus in a closed plenary meeting of judges on Thursday (9/11).
