JAKARTA - Hundreds of humanitarian aid trucks managed to enter Gaza and were received by the Palestinian Red Crescent, but no fuel supply trucks have yet been urgently needed.

In his post on X, the Palestinian Red Crescent wrote, as many as 106 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were received from Egypt's Red Crescent and five ambulances from Kuwait on Wednesday.

"The trucks contain food, water, logistical assistance, medical equipment and medicines", PRCS wrote as quoted November 9.

"The total number of trucks received since October 21, 2023, to date is 756 trucks or around 39 trucks per day. However, the Zionist colonial authorities have not allowed fuel entry so far", PRCS continued.

It is known that this figure is far less than about 455 trucks that according to the United Nations entered Gaza every day before the war, according to CNN November 9.

Israel itself has not allowed the entry of fuel needed for hospital operations, electricity to desalination, with the allegation that Hamas will take for military purposes.

On Wednesday, the chief surgeon of the International Red Cross Committee warned doctors in Gaza were running out of medical supplies as the healthcare system was under severe pressure.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the International Rescue Committee called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza for "a period of at least five days" saying it was an "absolute minimum" period needed so that aid agencies could ease the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people.
