Panji Gumilang Detained In The Mapenaling Block Of Indramayu Prison, Kalapas: No Special Facilities

JABAR - The Indramayu Regency Correctional Institution (Lapas) ensured that there was no special treatment for the detention of the defendant in the alleged blasphemy case, Panji Gumilang.

Head of Class II B Prison Indramayu Hero Sulistiyono said the status in question was a custody. "We don't care, the treatment is the same, there are no special facilities," he said in Indramayu, West Java, Wednesday, November 8, confiscated by Antara.

Hero explained that the defendant in the alleged blasphemy case was placed in a small room in the Environmental Recognition Period Block (Mapenaling) of Indramayu Prison.

Inside the block, said Hero, there are five rooms and Panji Gumilang is still being treated the same as other inmates.

"He is a prisoner in custody. The room is the same, because the Mapenaling Block is for new inmates. We place it there. In one block there are five rooms," he said.

He said that for the next 20 days, Panji Gumilang was detained at Class II B Indramayu Prison as a detainee.

Meanwhile, regarding the defendant's health condition, said Hero, Panji Gumilang is fine and can undergo his first trial at the Indramayu District Court.

However, Hero said that Panji Gumilang had complained about the condition of his hand which still felt pain.

"Because he is old, we put him in his own bathroom in the block. Due to health factors, from the family's statement that he cannot get cigarette smoke. He is alone in the room," he said.

Meanwhile, Hero admitted that he still did not know any further information regarding the examination of Panji Gumilang as a suspect in the money laundering crime (TPPU) which will be carried out in Indramayu, West Java, on Thursday 9 November.

Because, said Hero, if the inspection was carried out at the Indramayu Prison, his party would prepare a special place.

"I don't know yet, if there is an examination, we will prepare a place here. There are law enforcement officers (APH), if there is an examination, we will prepare a room. That is special, there is indeed a place," he said.
