Mantan Kades Di Situbondo Tersangka Korupsi Dana Desa Rp600 Juta Ditangkap, Sempat Kabur Ke Bali

SITUBONDO - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Situbondo Resort Police, East Java, arrested a former village head for the alleged corruption case of the Village Fund (DD) for the 2020 fiscal year.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Situbondo Police, AKP Momon Suwito Pratomo, said that the former Head of Kotakan Village, Situbondo District, Suriwan, was arrested by officers at his hiding place at a boarding house in Jember Regency.

"The person concerned was named a suspect in the Village Fund (DD) corruption case when he was still the Head of Kotakan Village in 2020," saidMomon as quoted by Antara, Friday, November 3.

The case of alleged corruption in village funds that dragged the 54-year-old man was actually an old case and resulted in state losses of around Rp600 million.

Momon menyampaikan, berkas pemeriksaan dugaan korupsi dana desa terhadap mantan kepala desa itu sudah dinyatakan lengkap atau P21 oleh Kejaksaan Negeri Situbondo, pada bulan Agustus Tahun 2023.

"However, when we went to the suspect's house, there was no one (of them), and finally we searched and was arrested at a boarding house in Jember," he said.

In the previous search, continuedMomon, the suspect Suriwan moved from hiding places to avoid being chased by the police, even the suspect had also fled to the islands of Bali and Madura, until he was finally caught in Jember.

To account for his actions, the alleged corruption of village funds was charged with Articles 2 and 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption which has been amended by Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

"Meanwhile, the threat of a minimum sentence of four years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison," saidMomon.
