SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police train 350 special personnel to become service officers or stewards who will be placed outside the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, East Java, during the U-17 World Cup starting November 10, 2023.

The personnel stationed as stewards are required to take part in training before the U-17 World Cup is held according to the request of PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir.

The East Java Regional Police have also prepared joint personnel from the Mobile Brigade Unit, Detective to Traffic Units as stewards at the U-17 World Cup at the Surabaya GBT Stadium.
"We have prepared all 350 personnel to be assigned as stewards and have participated in training," he said.
Personnel assigned as stewards will be placed in the 1 GBT Zone during the match to provide services and security.
"Steward nantinya, selain melakukan tugas pengamanan, juga memberikan bantuan medis kepada penonton yang sakit hingga evakuasi penonton dari dalam ke luar stadion jika situasi darurat," ucapnya.
