JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inspected the location of the Phase I National Asymptomatic Development project in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

President Jokowi arrived at the location at around 17.20 WIB after carrying out the groundbreaking activity for a number of infrastructures in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) on Thursday.

President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Ad Interim Erick Thohir, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority Dhony Rahajoe, to review the progress of the construction of a number of infrastructures there.

From the location of the ceremonial courtyard, the Head of State seemed to be talking with the ministers while pointing to the location where the Presidential Palace would later stand.

After that, the President also saw the pedestrian path facility which was right across from the courtyard of the ceremony and dealing directly with the Presidential Palace.

After conducting a review of about 25 minutes, President Jokowi and his entourage left back to the location where they spent the night at IKN.

Based on information quoted from the official website of the Ministry of PUPR, the National Axis at KIPP IKN Nusantara is an open space that is a symbol of harmonious relations between nature, humans and the noble values of culture.

Later, this National Axis in an imaginary manner will connect the Presidential Palace to Mangrove Ecopark through open space series, starting from Plaza Ceremony, Civil Plaza/Bhinneka Plaza, Science and Tech Park, Plaza Adi Budaya, Plaza Show to Plaza Democracy.
