Due To A Korslet Water Pump Machine, Residents' Houses In Ciputat Burnt Out

TANGERANG - A residence on Jalan Gang Bakri Jombang, Ciputat, South Tangerang, caught fire. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit in the water pump engine.

Danton Firefighters (Damkar) South Tangerang (Tangsel), Imam said the incident occurred on Friday, November 2, at 14:02 WIB.

"It's true that the object caught fire at the residence. The cause was a short circuit in the water pump's electric cable," said Imam in his statement, Thursday, November 2.

Imam said that the incident occurred when the witness wanted to start the water pump engine. However, suddenly there was a short circuit on the electricity until it emitted a fire.

"There was a short circuit in the water pump's engine cable," he said.

Imam said there were 7 units and dozens of personnel deployed to speed up the blackout at the location.

"At 14:45 WIB it was declared outages. Access to the entrance is narrow. The water source is far, making it difficult to extinguish the fire," he said.

Imam also confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident. However, the loss reached hundreds of millions of rupiah.

"The victim was nil. The loss reached Rp150 million," he concluded.
