Jokowi Regarding The Sustainability Of IKN: There Is A Law, Supported By 93 Percent Of Factions In The DPR

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo answered about the sustainability of the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in the next national leadership.

Jokowi emphasized that the IKN development has been mandated in the law.

"IKN has a law. The law is supported by 93 percent of the factions in the DPR. What else do you want to ask? 93 percent of it," said the President on the sidelines of his activities reviewing the capital city of Nusantara in East Kalimantan, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 2.

The President said that what the government is currently preparing for the construction of the Palace as well as the offices of the President and Vice President, ministries, including electricity, water and basic infrastructure.

The government has also accelerated the entry of private investors and the business world.

According to him, since two or three months ago, hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, schools and football training centers have been built.

The President said that until December there would be a realization of development worth IDR 45 trillion.

"But this is indeed again not a project for next year. It could be 15 years, it could be 20 years, it could also be 10 years, if the private sector is fast, why not? So once again 20 percent of the budget from the state budget, 80 percent of the private sector," he explained.

He said the electricity infrastructure in IKN was also ready. The President has also asked related parties to prepare an underground power cable installation so that IKN becomes a beautiful and neat capital city.

"All of the land Baths are cabled," he explained.
