Calls Jokowi Ever Agrees To Support Ganjar With Megawati, Hasto: But People Can Change

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) once agreed with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to support Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

This moment occurred on March 18, 2023 and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung also participated in the meeting.

"If I'm not mistaken, there was a meeting for three hours. Two hours with Mrs. Mega, one hour we accompanied Mas Pramono Anung. It was actually agreed to nominate Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," Hasto told reporters at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, November 2.

From that meeting, President Jokowi finally mentioned that the next leader had white hair characteristics. However, this attitude has recently changed.

"Mr. Ganjar was born who said whose white hair was it? It was recorded by the people. But someone can change," he said.

Even so, Hasto understands the reason it is difficult to find people who can be committed. This is different from Megawati's attitude and a strong PDIP cadre carrying Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election.

However, he questioned the change in attitude. Including the underlying thing.

"That consistency was also captured by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri and us as characters of this nation. Our nation has never changed. When something changes, there must be a question mark," said Hasto.

For information, President Jokowi's relationship with the PDI-P has recently heated up after Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka stepped up as a candidate for vice president (readwapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto.
