DPD Replaces Urges Government To Strengthen Diplomacy To End Israel's Military Aggression In Palestine

JAKARTA - The DPD condemned Israel's actions against the Palestinian people and urged the government to strengthen efforts to stop the military aggression.

Israel's military aggression, which have now claimed more than 8,000 lives of the Palestinian people, are considered actions that must be stopped immediately.

Member of the DPD RI from Riau, Muhammad Gazali, said that all DPD members must condemn and condemn what Israel has done. Moreover, what Israel did was not in accordance with the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution which positioned Indonesia as a country that respects independence and condemns colonialism.

"We would like to thank the leadership of the DPD RI who consider the issue of colonialism carried out by Israel to Palestine to be the issue of the DPD RI which must be sounded throughout Indonesia and even into the world. That the DPD RI sits upright, joins hands with the Palestinian people, and condemns and condemns what Israel has done to the Palestinian people," said Muhammad Gazali, Tuesday, October 31.

Palestine, added Gazali, was one of the first countries to support Indonesia's independence. Therefore, all things felt and suffered by the Palestinian people must also be the suffering of the Indonesian people.

"Therefore we support Palestine. Indonesian people, Muslims, non-Muslims, must support Palestine. Because the constitution directs us to support the colonized and defending people, making them get independence," he said.

DPD RI members from South Sumatra Jialyka Maharani also expressed concern about what happened in Palestine. The aggression carried out by the Israeli army is a form of colonialism and genocide aimed at the Palestinian People.

"This does not reflect the ideals of the Indonesian nation, where we strongly support world peace. This should not exist in the world, because it is an inhuman act," he said.

He said that the DPD RI would urge the government to take concrete steps through diplomatic functions from state institutions to be able to contribute to encouraging world elites to carry out a ceasefire for Israel.

"In addition, one definite step that we must take is in the form of (giving) assistance, and also politically we must try so that this does not happen again in the future," he said.

Besides responding to the conflict in Palestine, Jialyka also responded to the conflict in Papua. Jialyka hopes that the government and related parties must be able to handle shooting cases that do not stop in Papua. This is due to the large number of shooting cases that have caused casualties from civilians.

"We are concerned about the phenomenon of conflict that continues to occur in Papua until now. Conflicts in Papua must be resolved immediately by law enforcement officers in Indonesia," said Jialyka.
