Tuesday Afternoon, The KPK Facilitated The Police To Examine The Former Minister Of Agriculture SYL Regarding Allegations Of Extortion

Polda Metro Jaya examined former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo today, Tuesday, October 31. He was questioned regarding the alleged extortion by the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Yes, that's right (Syahrul's information was questioned by the police, ed)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, October 31.

Ali said the examination was carried out at Bareskrim Polri. "There is already an administrative process from the KPK investigating team," he said.

Meanwhile, Syahrul's family lawyer, Djamaludin Koedoeboen, said that his client's examination would be carried out at 14.00 WIB.

"It looks like so (related to the extortion case, ed)," he said confirmed separately.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya is investigating allegations of extortion allegedly committed by the head of the anti-corruption commission against Syahrul. Firli Bahuri was one of the parties who had been questioned on Tuesday, October 24.

Apart from Firli, there are also 54 other witnesses who have been examined. They are SYL's personal driver, SYL's personal aide, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin.

Then investigators from the police also examined the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period, Saut Situmorang, the Director of Public Complaints and Complaints (Dumas) of the KPK, Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar who is also SYL's nephew's husband.
