JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) began distributing logistics for the 2024 election in DKI Jakarta in the first phase. "For that, special attention is needed during the distribution of this logistics, there are no obstacles in this distribution process because the location is relatively close to the logistics provider locations in Tanjung Priok and Tangerang", said Nelvia in her statement, Tuesday, October 31. There are certain reasons for these two regions receiving electoral logistics in Jakarta. East Jakarta has the list of voters in the DKI Jakarta Province. "For that, special attention is needed during the distribution of this logistics," he said. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands need to receive the logistics distribution first because the location is the most distant compared to other administrative cities in Jakarta. The first phase of the 2024 Election logistics that have just distributed in East Jakarta are 6,185 boxes, 1,640 ballot booths, and 185,200 pieces of plastic seal received by the East Jakarta KPU. "Meanwhile in the Thousand Islands, the election logistics received are 352 pieces of ballot booths and 356 ballot boxes," said Nelvia.

The KPU needs an area of 8 thousand square meters, which is needed to accommodate election logistics, starting from the presidential and vice presidential elections (pilpres), as well as candidates for DKI DPR-DPD-DPRD (pileg) members which will be held on February 14, 2024. Then, the warehouse will again hold the logistics for the DKI regional head election (pilkada) which will be held on November 27, 2024.
