Court Releases Japo's Online Arisan Bandar In Semarang

SEMARANG - The Semarang City District Court (PN) handed down a release verdict against the online social gathering dealer Maju Tempo (Japo) in Semarang, Yudhian Prasetyamukti, in the alleged fraud case.

The verdict read by Chief Justice Setyo Yoga Siswantoro stated that the defendant's actions were proven in accordance with the prosecutor's demands, but not a criminal act.

The defendant Yudhian Prasetyamukti was previously sentenced to 3.5 years in prison in the case.

Semarang District Court spokesman Aris Bawono Langgeng confirmed that the alleged fraud case of the online social gathering admin had been decided today.

"It was decided to be released, because the actions committed were not criminal," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 26.

Based on the decision, he said, the public prosecutor had also said that he would file an appeal.

Separately, the Head of the General Crimes Section of the Semarang City Prosecutor's Office, M. Rizky Pratama, said that the public prosecutor would definitely appeal the decision.

Rizky said that the evidence in the case was sufficient.

"If the judge does have other considerations, we can't force it," he said.

Previously, Yudhian Prasetyamukti was charged with fraud against 28 online social gathering participants "Jatuh Tempo" (Japo) whose losses were allegedly billions of rupiah.

Yudhian was reported by a number of arisan participants who admitted that they had not yet received their turn to pay the social gathering.
