Arrested Class 1 Cipinang Prison Warden Turns Out To Try Smuggling 5 Ons Of Shabu To Prisoners

The West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit revealed the arrest of suspect EF, one of the guards of Class 1 Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta for smuggling 5 ounces of methamphetamine into prison cells.

"What was put in prison (Cipinang) was 5 ounces. So there was information that the goods were put into prison, we finally made this arrest," said Head of Narcotics at the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Panjiyoga to reporters, Wednesday, October 25.

According to him, the disclosure was the result of a collaboration between the West Jakarta Metro Police and the Cipinang Class 1 Prison. The suspect AF admitted that this was the first time he had smuggled methamphetamine. AF will give methamphetamine to prisoners with the initials IS.

"We have detained the guards and prisoners. We have processed this case completely," he said.

Previously, VOI reported that the Cipinang Class 1 prison officer with the initials AF was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police for narcotics trafficking in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta.

The head of the Cipinang Class I Correctional Institution (Kalapas), Tonny Nainggolan, confirmed the information on the arrest of Class 1 Cipinang prison officers.

"Currently, the person concerned is being detained at the West Jakarta Metro Police. There has been no detention letter and notification from the Resort Police, but we continue to communicate and coordinate," Tonny told reporters, Tuesday, September 26.

His party also synergizes with the police to uncover this case by dealing with a Correctional Inmates (WBP) with the initials IS who is also suspected of being involved.
