KUPANG - Sub-Directorate III/Tipikor Investigators of the East Nusa Tenggara Police Ditreskrimsus detained five suspects in a case of alleged corruption in the construction of the Pratama Boking Hospital in South Central Timor Regency which cost the state Rp17.4 billion.

He said investigators from Sub-Directorate III/Tipikor Ditreskrimsus of the East Nusa Tenggara Police on Friday (13/10) had detained two suspects, namely Barince S. Yalla (BSY) as the Commitment Making Officer of the South Central Timor Regency Health Office and Andre Feby Limanto (AFL) as the flag borrower and implementing contractor.

Meanwhile, on Monday (23/10) night, investigators detained three more suspects, namely the AK planner consultant, the MZ implementing contractor from PT Tangga Batujaya Abadi, and the HD supervisory consultant.

The detention took place after the three suspects underwent additional examination at the NTT Regional Police on October 23, 2023.

Before being detained, they underwent a medical examination at the Turangga Clinic accompanied by legal advisers and Corruption Investigators at the Ditreskrimsus Polda NTT.

The three of them were declared healthy and immediately underwent detention on Monday (23/10) night.

"With the detention of these three suspects, a total of five suspects were detained by the NTT Regional Police in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Boking Hospital," said Ariasandy.

The suspects are charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law NHomor 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption with the threat of life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 20 years, as well as a minimum fine of Rp. 200,000,000 and a maximum of Rp. 1,000,000,000.
