JABAR - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) has asked for a revised feasibility study of the Jatiluhur II Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) or Ir. H. Juanda by adjusting the existing conditions of the community in the area.

"We value that the feasibility study still needs further discussions, especially from the offer of cooperation. The price of the cooperation water, we see, is still not in accordance with the existing conditions in Bekasi Regency," said Bekasi Regent Dani Ramdan in Cikarang, Sunday.

He said there needs to be a field survey with Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi, Bekasi Regency before formulating the project service target to study conditions and adjust to the capabilities of the people in the region.

"Regarding the service area, there is still a need for discussion and joint surveys to the field accompanied by Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi who is aware of field conditions," he said.

The Bekasi Regency Government will try to find areas that have the ability to comply with customer target specifications. Because the water that will be distributed is of high quality with standards that make prices increase.

He also ensured that this adjustment effort would not hinder the project realization target because a long process would still be rolled out to be realized in 2027.

"Still the price is lowered, if later the service area is adjusted to the segment of the community who are indeed able to pay for water with such quality," he said.

Dani hopes that with these efforts, the service provider SPAM Jatiluhur II can adjust the cooperation points to the capabilities of the Bekasi Regency Government, especially since the cooperation offered is still not in accordance with the current conditions of Bekasi Regency.

"Our hope is that there will be compromise because they are investors who need profit, but this clean water is more for social services, so we ask that it can be adjusted to regional capabilities," he said.

It is known that the Bekasi Regency Government together with Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi have proposed 29 service areas in three sub-districts, namely Tambun Utara, Tambun Selatan, and Setu as the target customers of the SPAM Jatiluhur II project.

From the results of the Real Demand Survey (RDS), the three sub-districts require clean water with a maximum supply of up to 2,050 liters per second.
