TANGERANG - The Tangerang Banten City Health Office sent additional oxygen cylinder supplies to health workers to help personnel and residents in need, as a result of the fire at the Rawa Cat TPA.

"We sent an additional eight oxygen cylinders from the Neglasari Health Center, Sukasari Health Center, Cikokol Health Center, Kedaung Wetan Health Center," said Head of the Health Service Dr. Dini Anggraeni in Tangerang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 21.

Currently, joint personnel are still trying to extinguish the fire that burned garbage at the Rawa Cat TPA since Friday (20/10) afternoon. The fire, which had subsided this morning, broke out again during the afternoon.

In addition, the Health Office also sent hundreds of 100 additional boxes of masks. "This supply is so that officers or residents affected by smoke from the Rawa Cat TPA fire can be handled immediately," he said.

Then officers from the Health Service and the Neglasari Health Center were on standby at the evacuation location, namely the Neglasari District Office Hall.

"We also provide two ambulance units at the Neglasari District Office. So, if there are residents who are evacuated and need assistance with more complete equipment, we can take them to the nearest hospital," he said.

The Tangerang City Government took action in the form of evacuating residents to the Neglasari District office as an anticipatory effort not to get sick due to inhaling fire smoke from the Rawa Cat TPA.

Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah said strong winds and hot weather made the fire grow again after on Saturday morning it gradually shrank. "Until finally the City Government took quick steps by evacuating," he said.
