JAKARTA - Pangeran Diponegoro Road and Jalan Taman Suropati leading to the HI Roundabout and Salemba has been reopened to public transportation. A number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles have passed normally since 13.30 WIB. Previously, the two roads were closed because of the hopes that the convoy of the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate who wanted to register with the Indonesian KPU would be closed. Currently, the two roads have been reopened. Meanwhile, the masses of sympathizers of Ganjar and Vice Presidential Candidates Mahfud MD have shifted and gathered in Suropati Park. "The road has been opened, to unravel the temporary congestion. The closure will be tentative again," said one member of Polantas at the location, Thursday, October 19. Although the route can be passed by vehicles, there is still traffic jams around Suropati Park, Menteng. Previously, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD officially registered as pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential elections. Ganjar and Mahfud were registered by the coalition of PDIP, PPP, Perindo, and Hanura parties. This registration file was submitted by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari. Furthermore, Ganjar and Mahfud submitted the vision-mission document as candidate pairs to the KPU.

"I am with Pak Mahfud and we and our wives are here to submit documents with the supporting party," said Ganjar after submitting the registration documents at the Indonesian KPU office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 18.
