LRT Cancels 28 Trips Due To Facilities Care

JAKARTA - The Jabodebek Integrated Railroad (LRT) canceled 28 trips due to maintenance at the mode of transportation.

"There are 28 Jabodebek LRT trips that have been canceled due to facilities maintenance," said Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Kuswardoyo as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

He said the cancellation resulted in longer arrival distances between trains (headways).

Currently, he continued, a number of Jabodebek LRT facilities are entering a treatment period to ensure that the LRT trip is safe and comfortable.

Some of the treatments carried out include 13 train series (trainsets) having to make wheels, while two train sets are experiencing disruption to the integration of the signal system.

"The process of dissolving wheels for a train set takes between 5-7 days. Of course, we are trying our best so that the maintenance work can be completed as soon as possible," he said.

He said security is a priority for Jabodebek LRT operations.

Therefore, his party was forced to stop the operation of a number of trainsets for treatment according to the existing schedule.

The Jabodebek LRT also apologized for the travel and service disturbances.

"Currently, we, together with all stakeholders, are trying our best so that the treatment process can be completed immediately, so that the operation of the Jabodebek LRT journey returns to normal," said Kuswardoyo.
