KPAI Responds To Mother's Action In South Jakarta Allegedly Depression Throws Babies Into Water-filled Embers

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) has spoken about the action of a mother throwing a 4-month-old baby into a bucket for TikTok content.

KPAI chairman, Ai Maryati Solihah said that her party would check the incident. He also said that he would conduct an examination of the victim's parents whether it was appropriate to raise their children.

"It must be ensured, depression is a medical, psychological, or what. If there is a law. For example, parents indicators do not have the right to care for, for example, meaning that there need to be measurable actions," said Maryati when confirmed, Monday, October 16.

"Especially this child can get positive care, which protects, which supports optimal growth and development," he continued.

Maryati said that she would coordinate with the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Child Protection (P2TP3A) and the South Jakarta Metro Police in handling the case.

"There is a P2TP3A or women's empowerment service. We can also coordinate with the South Jakarta Metro Police, to what extent will the reach be," he said.

Reportedly, a video shows a mother throwing her baby in a large bucket in the bathroom. In the 41-second video, the baby is seen thrown, she cries while her mother or perpetrators laugh.

According to information received by VOI, the mother's heinous act against her child took place in a house on Jalan Penerangan, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. According to sources, the action was carried out on Friday, October 13.

In the video, the baby continues to cry loudly while moving its limbs. But really cruel, the mother actually laughed and didn't help her.
