The North Tapanuli Police conducted an autopsy to determine the cause of the death of the victim, DB (51) a foreign national (WNA) from China at the PT NH Onan Hasang mess, Pahae Julu District, Taput Regency, at the Bhayangkara Hospital, North Sumatra Police (North Sumatra).

"After the North Tapanuli Police found out that the victim died, who was a foreigner from China, in the PT NH mess, Monday (9/10) at around 18.00 WIB, the Identification unit immediately rushed to the location to conduct a crime scene investigation," said North Tapanuli Police Chief AKBP Johanson Sianturi, through Head of Public Relations Ipda B. In this regard, the North Tapanuli Police have examined nine witnesses who knew about the incident and the company's manager.

"The statement from the PT NH Manager, Wang Ping (45) that we obtained during the examination that the victim was not an employee of PT NH," he said.

Gultom explained that the victim came from China to PT NH, applied through an application made by PT NH in his country.

After the victim registered through the application, the company advised to conduct a location survey first to find out whether the work was suitable.

"So the presence of victims is still only a survey, not yet an employee," he said.

The victim arrived at Onan Hasang Pahe Julu Taput, Saturday (7/10). This is also reinforced by the passport of the existing victim. This means that when the work is suitable according to the victim's expertise. Furthermore, the victim still returned to his country to complete the administration as a foreign worker.

To find out the certainty of the cause of the death of the victim, the North Tapanuli Police have brought the victim's body for an autopsy at the North Sumatra Police Bhayangkara Hospital.

"Furthermore, regarding the bodies of the victims, PT NH has coordinated with the Chinese Consulate in Medan. And has communicated with the families of the victims in China," said Gultom.
