Police And Residents Put Out Land Fires In Belalau, West Lampung

With makeshift tools, Bhabinkamtibmas together with the community extinguished the fire that burned land in Pemangku IV Pekon (Village) Hujung, Belalau District, West Lampung Regency.

The Head of the Sekincau Police, West Lampung Police, AKP Jauhari, said that his party was aware of the land fire on the Pekon Hujung land and went straight to the location of the incident.

"We together with the community use makeshift tools, such as using a pelvic tank filled with water and then spraying it directly onto the burning land," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.

The police had difficulty overcoming the land fire, because the conditions at the scene contained strong winds and dried grass which resulted in flammable.

Meanwhile, West Lampung Police Chief AKBP Heri Sugeng Priyantho, said that his party appealed to the public not to burn land and always be aware of fires.
