CIMAHI - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian removed the position of Dikdik Suratno Nugrahawan as Acting (Pj.) Mayor of Cimahi because he was unable to solve the inflation problem in the area.

"I have repeatedly conveyed to the Cimahi City Government. The inflation is high, the price of rice has not gone up and down," Tito said during the 2023 Inflation Control Coordination Meeting in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.

At the presentation at the meeting, Tito had reminded Dikdik Suratno Nugrahawan to be able to reduce the inflation rate in Cimahi City.

"Many times I remind you, it is not also under control, even though the area is producing chili," he said.

On this basis, the Minister of Home Affairs removed the position of Dikdik as Acting Mayor. Mayor of Cimahi, then asked for a replacement immediately.

"I asked to be replaced, and it has been replaced, I signed it on Saturday (7/10). Replaced with a new Acting Mayor," said Tito.

Previously, Dikdik served as Regional Secretary of Cimahi City, then as Acting Mayor of Cimahi replacing Ngatiyana who retired on October 22, 2022.
