According to the Police Chief, the suspect, who was a recidivist in the theft case in November 2020, again carried out an action alone to steal a team of motorcycles.

"Then the police received a report from one of the victims in August 2023, so an investigation was carried out and from the development of examinations in the field, the result was to pick up the perpetrator and the evidence that had been sold to the collector," he said.

In carrying out the action, he said, the suspect damaged the stolen motorbike by pulling the stationer cable and then reconnecting it to turn it on, then taking it away.

The suspect also changed the license plate of the stolen motorcycle with a fake plate to be sold to the collector at a price varying from Rp1.5 million to Rp3 million per unit.

According to the Chief of Police, the suspect Adit was charged with violating Article 363 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 362 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 365 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code concerning theft, with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
