Breaking Into Residents' Houses During The Day, Two Robbers In Cipayung Steal Worth Tens Of Millions Of Valuables

JAKARTA - A robbery took place in a residential area on Jalan Sepakat 1, Cipayung District, East Jakarta. The robbery took place during the day.

The two perpetrators entered into the damage and chatted over all the contents of the victim's house. Luckily, the incident was caught on CCTV cameras inside the victim's house.

In the surveillance camera footage, the two perpetrators were seen using motorbikes several times crossing the victim's house. After confirming that the conditions were safe, the two perpetrators immediately burst into the house where the owner was leaving.

The two perpetrators entered the house by forcibly prying the door of the house. They also had time to damage CCTV surveillance cameras on the terrace of the house.

The perpetrator managed to steal a number of valuables belonging to the victim, such as a laptop, playstation and a gold ring from inside the victim's house. After getting some of the items, the perpetrator fled.

Subagio, the victim's neighbor, said that the perpetrator acted during quiet hours. The owner of the house went 1 hour before the incident.

"Indeed, the method is like a motorcycle taxi, it's like an ojol. We don't know exactly that's normal, right. Because it's common, so people don't suspect. Then they are pryed into the door, they have already entered. CCTV was also damaged, the door was very fast," he told reporters, Thursday, October 5.

The victim who owns the house has reported it to the Cipayung Police. The police have also come to the scene.

"The perpetrator is unknown. Incidentally, some of the incidents were careless, (the incident) averaged during the day. There was theft at dawn," he said.

As a result of the robbery, the victim suffered losses of up to tens of millions of rupiah. Meanwhile, the case is handled by the Cipayung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, East Jakarta.
