The Puslabfor Polri Team Processes The Fire Scene At Garut Hospital

GARUT - The Forensic Laboratory Center Team (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters conducted a crime scene (TKP) for the logistics room fire at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Slamet, Garut Regency, West Java to find out the cause of the fire.

"The fire scene has been processed at Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital," said Head of the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ari Rinaldo as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

He said the Garut Police and the National Police Headquarters Puslabfor Team came to the location of the former fire incident on Tuesday (3/10), then collected the burned evidence for further investigation.

The presence of the Puslabfor team, he said, was to be able to reveal the cause of the fire at the public facilities in the hospital, the results of which have not yet been submitted to the public because they are still under study.

"After an in-depth study is carried out, the results will be presented later," said Ari.

According to him, the presence of the Puslabfor team at the National Police Headquarters to the Garut Hospital was relatively fast, even though there were a number of other incidents that were also being investigated.

"There are several other locations that must be processed at the TKP, Garut is accelerated because he is afraid to interfere with public services," he said.

Separately, the Deputy Director of Services at the Dr. Slamet Hospital, Muhammad Willy Indrawilis, said that the National Police Headquarters Puslabfor Team had gone down to the scene and finished processing the crime scene, now we are just waiting for the results.

Regarding the material losses caused by the fire, he said, it could not be ascertained because it was still calculated. While most of the services at the hospital have returned to normal, and all patients receive treatment services.

According to him, the fire incident became a lesson for Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital to carry out various anticipations so that there would be no more fires.

"We will certainly evaluate this incident, of course this will be used as a lesson to anticipate," he said.

Previously, the fire in one of the rooms at Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital occurred on Sunday (1/10) at around 12.00 WIB causing thick puffs of smoke and it was clearly seen outside the hospital area.

The incident did not cause any casualties, only damage to the facility, and had made several patients in the treatment room not far from the location of the fire to be evacuated to a safe place until the fire was successfully extinguished at around 15.00 WIB.
