SUKABUMI - The West Java Provincial Government requested assistance from the TNI and Polri to trace the main source of piles of garbage on Cibuntu Beach, Sangrawayang Village, Sukabumi Regency. The reason is, said Acting Governor of West Java Beyvi Machmudin, piles of garbage on Cibuntu Beach always appear, even though they have been cleaned many times. "Lastly, commanded by Mr. Dandim, from June to July, (Cibuntun Beach waste) was cleaned, now there is more to this high. I ask the Chief of Police, assisted by the TNI, to start a search, where this is the main problem," said Bey during his visit to the location, reported by Antara, Wednesday, October 4. Bey also expressed the request, because in his review to see the conditions and activities of cleaning, it was known that the waste on Cibuntu Beach, on average, was inorganic waste like cloth. "After seeing it, almost everything was inorganic. Pak Kapolres, Pak Dandim, Pak Kades also, confirmed that this is a kind of fabric waste, garment waste, and everything is the same," said Bey. This search is important because any possibility can occur in this problem, starting from public awareness in disposing of waste is very low and wants to be easy by throwing it into the river or into the sea, but it can also be on an industrial scale. "I ask the Chief of Police, assisted by the TNI, to start a search, where this is the main problem. Whether it's industrial waste, or also maybe there is a ship that specifically disposes of waste, because it's all the same," he said. In addition, Bey also asked all parties to help strengthen waste management, one of which can be done at the household level through waste sorting. "I asked earlier, not only do we clean it, but from the upstream we start what it looks like," said Bey. Regarding the Pandawara group being threatened with subpoenas and taken to legal action because uploads on social media invited the coastal cleaning which was considered offensive because it pinned the words of the world's fourth dirtiest beach, Bey said all parties to sit down together for one purpose.
