Five bodies of members of the armed criminal group (KKB) Kodap XXXV Bintang Timur who died during a firefight in Serambakon, were buried in TPU Okpol, Oksibil District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains.

Kapolres Gunung Bintang AKBP Muhamad Davi Bustomi said the five bodies of KKB members had been buried after previously identification was carried out at the Oksibil Hospital.

Before being buried, the bodies received by the Acting Secretary of the Bintang Mountains, Jeni Lithin, were first handed over for burial.

The five bodies of KKB members who were handed over for burial were Otobius Bidana Mimin, Neas Ati Mimin, Alek Lepki, Tarkus Akmer and Okto Kasiska.

"The KKB member died during a shootout that occurred Saturday (30/9) in Serambakon," explained AKBP Davi.

The police chief admitted that apart from killing five KKB members in the firefight, three firearms and hundreds of ammunition from various sizes were also secured.

"Currently, the evidence is still being secured at the Bintang Mountains Police Headquarters in Oksibil," explained AKBP Davi.

Previously, the Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Bayu Suseno, said the five KKB members who died were subordinates oflong Mimin.

The group carried out a number of acts of violence and shootings both to security forces and civilians.

Earlier on September 18, KKB shot Brigadier Agung to death and the next day on September 19 again shot three civilians and suffered gunshot wounds, explained AKBP Bayu.
