Court Of Appeal Mario Dandy And Shane Lukas Will Roll This Month

JAKARTA - The DKI High Court will hold a hearing to read the appeal decision for the defendants Mario Dandy Satriyo and Shane Lukas in the case of severe persecution and planning against David Ozora on 19 October.

Scheduled for the verdict reading session after the DKI High Court officially received the appeal files of the two defendants.

"Sidang I pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2023, apabila oleh Majelis Hakim dibacakan pembacaan," ujar Pejabat Humas Pengadilan Tinggi DKI Jakarta, Binsar Pamopo Pakpahan saat dikonfirmasi, Senin, 2 Oktober.

Later, the trial will be held openly to the public at PT DKI Jakarta. The panel of judges who will chair Mario and Shane's appeal hearing, Tony Pribadi, as chairman of the panel of judges, then members of the panel of judges Indah Sulistyowati and Dr. H. Sumpeno.

"So it will be carried out openly to the public," he said.

Regarding the appeal files of the defendants Mario and Shane, said Binsar, his party had received them officially. The two files are registered with number 245/PID/2023/PT.DKI and number 246/PID/2023/PT.DKI.

"The two criminal cases on behalf of Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas, the appeal files have been received at PT DKI as we inform you," said Binsar.

Mario Dandy Satriyo was found guilty in the alleged severe abuse case of David Ozora. The panel of judges sentenced him to 12 years in prison.

In addition to criminal sanctions, the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court who handled the case also required Mario Dandy Satriyo to pay a restitution of around Rp. 25 billion.

As for the defendant Shane Lukas, the panel of judges at the first instance sentenced him to 5 years in prison. Because Shane was found to be involved in a series of cases of severe abuse by David Ozora.
