PDIP Will Launch Megawati Fellowship Program On Rakernas IV Last Day

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) will close the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) IV today, Sunday, October 1.

There are a number of programs that will be launched, one of which is Megawati Fellowship.

"In the closing, Megawati Fellowship will be launched. Because the party must ally with science," Hasto told reporters at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, quoted on Sunday, October 1.

"So the party must pioneer research and innovation, the party must implement all its ideological conceptions that are refined in the technical vision by the president, the technocratics but for the party it will be a movement," he continued.

Hasto said that this scholarship was launched for the nation's children with the specified conditions. He ensured that this program was created to show that PDIP does not always think about practical politics in the midst of election contestation.

In addition to launching the program, the PDIP Rakernas IV will be closed by reading out recommendations from an internal meeting on Saturday, September 30. Its contents, called Hasto, will be related to the food sovereignty movement which is the theme of activities.

"So the movement of food sovereignty is interested in consuming food that can be produced by farmers. It will be part of the decisions of the National Working Meeting recommendations," he said.

Previously reported, PDIP held the Rakernas IV for three days starting September 29-1 October. The activity took the theme 'Food Sovereignty for the Welfare of the Indonesian People's People's Welfare' with the sub-themed 'Pangan as the Symbol of the Predemic of Indonesian Leadership for the World'.

The election of this theme was emphasized by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri not because of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). He said his party was indeed focused on food problems so that Indonesia could be sovereign and stand on its own feet or independent.
