JAKARTA - The NasDem Party responded to the news of the search of the official residence of the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) at the Widya Chandra Complex, South Jakarta by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday night. The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, admitted that he had just heard the news. However, he emphasized that his party would wait for an official statement from the KPK regarding the matter. "We are waiting for information from the KPK after this," said Sahroni when contacted, Friday, September 29. The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR said that his party would respect the legal process that applies to the anti-corruption agency. He believes the search has gone through the correct procedure. "We respect and support the legal process carried out by the KPK," said Sahroni.

"There is an active KPK team there," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, September 28. "There is no further information submitted by Ali, but the house targeted is suspected to be the official residence of the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. "Giat is ongoing," he said.
