Lampung Police Arrest Four People Related To Management Of Lobster Babies Without Permission

The four suspected perpetrators of processing unlicensed lobster babies (fries) were secured by officers from the Directorate of Water and Air Police (Polairud) of the Lampung Regional Police.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditpolairud Polda Lampung, AKBP Ruzwan Bahri, Thursday said the four perpetrators were arrested while in the waters of West Coast Regency, Lampung.

"The three of them committed criminal acts in the fishery processing area that did not have a permit," said AKBP Ruzwan quoting Antara, Thursday, September 28.

He continued the three of the four suspects including Jaya Wardana, Mustaqim, and JF. They were arrested on August 21, 2023.

Another suspect has been sent home because it was not proven in the fry case.

"Three of the perpetrators are suspected of being the perpetrators. We will send one person home," he said.

He added that the three suspects had now been transferred to the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) on September 18, 2023.

The suspects are suspected of having violated Article 92 in conjunction with Article 26 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of government regulations in lieu of Law Number 2022 concerning Job Creation.

He appealed to the entire community to be able to notify the police if anyone violates the illegal sale and purchase of fry.

"Immediately report to the police if the public finds out that someone has committed a violation in terms of fries illegally," he said.
