AKBP Achiruddin, Who Allowed His Son Ken Admiral To Be Sentenced To 4 Months In Prison

The panel of judges at the Medan District Court (PN) sentenced AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan to six months in prison in the case of allowing his son Aditiya Hasibuan to abuse the victim Ken Admiral.

"Sentenced Achiruddin Hasibuan to six months in prison, and to pay compensation fees to victims or families (restitution) of Rp. 52 million in mutual responsibility with Aditiya Hasibuan, subsidiary of one month in prison," said Chief Judge Oloan Silalahi while reading the verdict at the Medan District Court, Tuesday, September 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

From the facts of the trial, the panel of judges believed that the defendant was proven guilty of committing a criminal act of violating Article 335 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, namely unlawfully forcing other people to do, do not do or allow something, by using violence, or by using threats of violence against either the person himself or others.

"The thing that burdens the defendant does not prevent the beating by Aditiya Hasibuan against Ken Admiral," he said.

Meanwhile, according to the panel of judges, the defendant regretted the actions in the case.

After reading the verdict from the panel of judges, legal advisers and defendant Achiruddin Hasibuan still thought about it for seven days receiving or appealing the decision, while the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office made an appeal.

Separately, the Public Prosecutor of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Rahmi Shafrina, will appeal the verdict, because he said the articles and criminal charges were different.

"The prosecutor will appeal the decision, because the different articles demanded are also the different punishments demanded," he said.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office demanded Achiruddin Hasibuan to be in prison for 21 months, and to pay compensation to the victim or family (restitution) of Rp52 million on a tier basis with Aditiya Hasibuan.

The prosecutor assessed that the defendant violated Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 56 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code, which was to provide an opportunity for Aditiya Hasibuan to abuse him.

Previously, on May 2, 2023, the North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) decided to dishonorably dismiss (PTDH) AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan for violating the Police code of ethics regarding behavior that only allowed suspect AH to abuse Ken Admiral.
