PSI Support Prabowo's Presidential Candidate? This Is The Answer From The Chairman Of Kaesang

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep has opened his voice about who the presidential candidate will be supported by in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

The youngest son of President Joko Widodo admitted that he did not want to rush to decide who would be supported by PSI in next year's political contestation, be it Prabowo Subianto, Ganjar Pranowo, or Anies Baswedan.

This he revealed at the PSI National Land Coffee (Kopdarnas) event which officially appointed himself as chairman of the party, Monday, September 25 evening.

"Who is the PSI support candidate, you know? On this occasion, allow me to convey the support of PSI presidential candidates in 2024 is patience, you're patient. We'll take it slow, ojo, don't worry," said Kaesang at the Djakarta Theater.

Kaesang admitted that he personally had a good relationship with the two presidential candidates, namely Prabowo and Ganjar.

However, regarding who will be supported by the party bearing the rose symbol, Kaesang admitted that he would still absorb the aspirations of PSI administrators, both at the central, regional, and branch levels.

"Give us time to hear directly and feel the pulse at the grassroots, then we will determine the direction of our victory," he said.

What is clear, Kaesang emphasized that the supported presidential candidate is a person who has a vision and mission in line with PSI.

"The important thing is, who do we support, the vision and mission are the same as PSI. And what's more, we can also say, and it's a small party. They are also, do we still need our votes? We didn't pass the parliamentary threshold yesterday, not a significant thing either," he added.
