JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo spoke with the General Chair of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

According to OSO, on that occasion he and the President talked about light things.

"A funny story, good chatting, laughing, nothing really serious," said OSO after the meeting, reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 25.

OSO said that during the meeting the President also asked the Hanura Party, which recently often carried out activities in the regions.

"Yes, there is a person who asked Hanura, now he is going to the regions, yes, that's right. Apparently the President followed," he said.

OSO emphasized that there was no directive from the President regarding politics. He also emphasized that there was no discussion about the prospective vice presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo who was also promoted by Hanura in the 2024 presidential election.

"That's not where we talk," said OSO.

OSO said that Ganjar's vice presidential candidate would be in the 'pocket' of PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. He believes Megawati will discuss this with the President and the supporting party.
