Jakarta Projected Post-IKN Global City, Bank Owned By DKI Provincial Government Intensify Digital Transactions

JAKARTA - The regional development bank (BPD) owned by the DKI Provincial Government, Bank DKI is intensifying digital transaction services in accordance with Jakarta's projection to become a global city after the move of the State Capital (IKN) to Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

Acting (Plt) President Director of Bank DKI Amirul Wicaksono revealed, in recent years, digitalization has become a major milestone in the development of the banking industry.

"The initiative of Bank DKI's digital transformation, apart from aiming to expand access to finance and increase added value on products and services, is also aimed at strengthening partnerships with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a shareholder," Amirul said in his statement, Thursday, September 21.

A number of digital product and service developments managed by Bank DKI include the JakOne Mobile application as a super app, with various features that can accommodate various daily financial transaction needs digitally.

This includes payments for various bills, taxes, levies, online shopping, electronic money top ups and QRIS transactions. JakOne Abank Services are also run which can provide added value for business development through an agency system.

"In addition, Bank DKI continues to develop digital lending applications with the aim of providing convenience in the process of applying for credit/financing," he explained.

Meanwhile, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on different occasions said that digital transformation is an important step in responding to customer needs and supporting economic and social development in the regions.

"Bank DKI is committed to continuing to innovate and provide the best digital banking solutions for the community and local governments," continued Arie.

Currently, Bank DKI has also carried out various initiatives to expand the acceptance of card-based digital transaction products, JakCard, starting from electronic tickets to various transportation networks in the city of Jakarta, such as the JakLingko network, Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, to the latest, namely the KRL network and the Jabodebek LRT.

"JakCard Bank DKI can also be used as an entry ticket at a number of tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, to payments on a number of toll roads such as Jagorawi, JORR, Bogor Outer Ring Road, inner city toll roads to the Bali-Mandara toll road," he added.
