JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani responded to the news that President Joko Widodo Kaesang Pangarep's son had entered politics and joined the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). Puan initially didn't want to comment further because she didn't know about the news. However, she admitted that she would ask Kaesang directly as a confirmation. "Yes, I also just heard, I don't know. That's why it just came out this morning in the news. So I don't want to comment on anything that she said, or heard," said Puan at the DPR Building, Thursday, September 21. According to Puan, she had a personal close relationship with Erina Gudono's husband. So she could directly ask about the news of joining PSI. "It can be. I know Kaesang," said Puan. Questioning the ban on joining parties other than PDIP because Kaesang is the son of a bull cadre, Puan was reluctant to answer. According to her, she needed to know first the truth of information about the joining Kaesang to PSI first.
