Papuan Police Immediately Send Brimob To Oksibil After TPNPB Attack Against 35 East Stars

Papuan Police immediately sent Brimob personnel to Oksibil to help overcome security disturbances in the capital city of the Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Province, the Mountains.

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri said the deployment of Brimob was carried out due to the rampant shootings, attacks and arson carried out by the KKB.

"In the near future we will send Brimob personnel to Oksibil, to strengthen personnel in the area," Fakhiri said in Jayapura, Wednesday evening, September 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

The splinter group KKB Papua, which is the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) 'Kodap 35 Bintang Timur', stated that it carried out a number of actions that resulted in the loss of life in Oksibil since Monday 18 September.

The TPNPB action caused the death of personnel from the Cartenz Damai Task Force, Brigadier Agung.

He explained that Brigadier Agung died while patrolling the Serambako area and was disturbed by the KKB on Monday, September 18.

In addition to attacking members of the National Police, KKB also shot residents who were at home, causing two people to be injured.

On Tuesday 19 September, KKB again intercepted and opened fire and abused the Pegubin Regional Government ASN who were about to go to the office and were injured.

"Various acts of violence committed by the KKB should not be allowed to drag on so that his party will send Brimob personnel to help secure and restore the area," said the Papuan Police Chief.

It was explained that the KKB member who claimed the Kodap 35 Bintang Timur was a fraction of the KKB that was disturbing in Kiwirok, some time ago.

After the area is back to conducive, they disrupt the surrounding area, including in Oksibil.
