Unemployment Rate In Tangerang Capai 19,000 People, City Government Finds Sense In Creating Job Training

TANGERANG - The Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) cooperates with the private sector to create a Work Training Center (BLK) to open painting engineering training in their area.

"We are collaborating with the Manpower Office to launch skill training for the community. Children are trained to use paint," said Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah to reporters, Tuesday, September 19.

Arief also explained that there were 455,000 heads of families (KK) in Tangerang City, while the housing was around 300 thousand families.

Therefore, he hopes that with a lot of housing in his area, they can take advantage of it by practicing skills and selling their skills so that it can improve their economic welfare.

"You can imagine if 300 thousand families. Say 10 percent of houses need to be refreshed for painting. Sometimes we come from outside the region. Well, we train this from our own regions to host the country," he said.

Pacific Paint Director, Irma Triana Adi said that this program is a real form of collaboration. The reason is that his party is not only given support in the form of a place, but the Tangerang City Government provides direction regarding programs for the community.

"Hopefully this can help small entrepreneurs create jobs that eventually suppress the handling and improve the economy of the local community," he said.

For information, the Tangerang City Manpower Office noted that the unemployment rate reached around 19 thousand people. This is due to the large number of employees who received Termination of Work Relations (PHK).
