SAR Team Searches For Boy Drowning In Batang Tebo River

JAMBI - The Bungo Pos SAR Team helped the joint team in finding a boy who reportedly drowned while playing and swimming from the banks of the Batang Tebo River, which is a flow of the Batanghari River.

"The team is currently at the location to assist in the search for a boy who reportedly drowned while swimming in the Batang Tebo River," said Head of Basarnas Jambi Kornelis, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.

The SAR team is currently conducting a search after the Jambi Basarnas communication team received information that a dangerous condition had occurred, a boy drowned in the Batang Tebo River, precisely in Teluk Pandak Village, Tanah Sepelgi District, Bungo Regency, Jambi.

Kornelis said that after receiving this information at 20.00 WIB, it was true that one boy in the name of Aksel (15) drowned while bathing in the Batang Tebo River with his friend.

The victim reportedly drowned on Monday (18/9) at 18.00 WIB due to slipping and being carried away by the river current.

After receiving this information, the Bungo SAR Post Team immediately moved to the location to conduct a search by bringing equipment such as rubber boats, aqua eyes, water rescue equipment and evacuation equipment. Until now the team has arrived at the location and immediately coordinated with relevant agencies and the community.
