Gadungan Doctor Susanto, YLKI: Officials And Professional Organizations Must Be Responsible

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Daily Management of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) Tulus Abadi emphasized that all law enforcement officers, the government, in this case the local health office, and professional organizations must be responsible for the case of a fake doctor named Susanto who practices at a clinic owned by PT PHC.

"As a result of the fake doctor's actions, law enforcement officials, health services and professional organizations doctors failed to protect and failed to provide a sense of public security as patients," Tulus Abadi said in his statement, Sunday, September 17.

According to him, the three institutions must be responsible for being missed and not being thorough so that a fake doctor can carry out medical practice.

"How can the three institutions go away and be fatal? This is a tragic and very embarrassing incident. This incident threatens the safety of the community," said Tulus.

"They have to think about and change this. For future steps and solutions so that they don't happen again. That is their business and must be improved," added Tulus.

Recently, a fake doctor named Susanto was caught cheating and working at a clinic owned by PT Pelindo Husada Citra (PT PHC). Before it was revealed, Susanto had been practicing doctors for 2 years.

The Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) revealed the reason why Susanto could freely become a fake doctor to practice at a clinic owned by PT PHC for years. In fact, during her action, Susanto had practiced as a midwife specialist and had surgery at a hospital in Kalimantan.

Susanto, who graduated from high school, applied as a doctor at PT PHC in 2020. In her application letter, Susanto uses the identity of another person, namely a doctor named Anggi Yuritno.

With various fake requirements documents, Susanto was finally accepted. He was assigned to the Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene (OHIH) at Pertamina Cepu, Central Java.

Susanto has worked for two years at the place. The action was revealed when he was about to extend his work contract. PT PHC found irregularities in data when re-crudentializing, starting from documents related to professions such as STR that must be updated. After an investigation, it was discovered that all data used by Susanto was fake.
