Bobby Nasution's Plan To Normalize The Deli Medan River Is Supported By The Army Chief Of Staff

Medan Mayor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution's plan to normalize the Deli River received full support from the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman.

The support surfaced when Bobby visited the Army Chief of Staff Office General Dudung Abdurachman in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 12.

During the visit, Bobby, who was accompanied by the Head of SDABMBK Topan Ginting and the Head of BPBD Medan Husni, invited the Indonesian Army to collaborate to deal with flooding in Medan City, one of which was by normalizing rivers that crossed Medan City.

"Alhamdulillah, our plan to normalize the 32-kilometer Deli River has the full support of the Army Chief by ordering TNI AD personnel to be directly involved in activities," Bobby said as quoted by ANTARA.

Not only personnel, the TNI AD will also help lend the heavy equipment they have. "We will also be assisted by using the equipment owned by the Indonesian Army," continued Bobby.

Not only a discourse, the activity will be carried out immediately this month.

"The plan is for normalization activities to start on September 27, 2023 and will last for 64 working days. God willing, the opening ceremony for normalization activities will be led directly by the Army Chief of Staff in Medan City," concluded Bobby.
