BEKASI - A husband named Nando (24) had the heart to spend the life of his wife Mega Sriyani Dewi (24). West Cikarang Police Chief AKP Rusnawati explained that the incident occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the rented house where both of them lived in West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. "The motive for being hurt because the victim often cursed is due to economic needs and there is frequent domestic violence (KDRT)," said Rusnawati, Monday, September 11. Rusnawati said that the victim and the perpetrator had a fight before the murder occurred. The condition, he continued, made the perpetrator unable to contain his emotions. The perpetrator immediately slapped the victim until he was helpless. Then, the perpetrator immediately dragged the victim towards the back of the house, took a knife and immediately slit his wife in the neck. The victim (who was helpless) was dragged into the kitchen using his left hand, then his right hand took a kitchen knife and made a statement against the victim, "said Rusnawati.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 339 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code and Article 5 in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph 3 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence. "The perpetrator is threatened with a sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum of life," he said.
