Dressed In White, Cak Imin Responds To KPK's Call Today

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin fulfilled the investigator's summons today, Thursday, September 7. He was examined as a witness to alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

According to field observations, Cak Imin arrived at around 09.50 WIB at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was seen wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and smiling at the media crew.

"Alhamdulillah, healthy," he said when asked about the news before entering the building.

He made no further statement. He immediately rushed to exchange his identification card with a red guest card which means he will be examined by investigators.

Meanwhile, Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said investigators would later ask for a number of information from Cak Imin. Because, he had served as Minister of Manpower (Menaker) for the 2009-2014 period.

"Investigators will certainly explore the information and knowledge of witnesses regarding the alleged corruption case. So that it will shed light on the construction of the case," he said.

The KPK ensures that the investigation into the alleged corruption will be carried out transparently. The public can be involved by following the process.

Moreover, Ali said, this case started with a public complaint. "We also invite the public to continue to follow the law enforcement process by the KPK as a form of transparency and public involvement in eradicating corruption in Indonesia," he concluded.
