Bogor Regency Government Tests Simultaneous Service Vehicle Emissions

BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, held a simultaneous emission test of official vehicles at the Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong.

Acting Head of the Bogor Regency Environment Agency (DLH), Bambam Setia Aji, explained that there will be around 600 state-owned vehicles belonging to the Bogor Regency Government that will undergo emission tests.

This amount, he said, is 50 percent of the total number of vehicles that are assets of the Bogor Regency Government, while the rest of the vehicles are carried out emission tests in the future.

"We are working with the Transportation Agency (Dishub) and the police in organizing this emission test," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 5.

He explained that if there are vehicles that exceed the emission threshold, the Department of Transportation will follow up by improving.

Before being repaired, vehicles that do not pass the emission test will be recorded as applications of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and are not allowed to enter the Bogor Regency Government environment before being repaired.

"In the application, it will be seen that the Ministry of Environment and Forestry application cannot enter the government area, at least like that. It looks like there will be other policies from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry regarding that," he said.

He said the vehicle emission test was also a follow-up to the Circular Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 2 of 2023 concerning Air Pollution Control in the Jabodetabek area.
