Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang Scheduled To Try The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train

Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani informed Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang together with Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan scheduled to try out the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, Wednesday (6/9).

"Regarding the high-speed train, the plan is indeed if the launch is October 1 (2023) but the plan is to carry out joint testing tomorrow, actually the 6th is approximately the afternoon," said Rosan after attending the press conference of The ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Jakarta. ) reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 5.

Meanwhile, when confirmed regarding the ticket price for the high-speed train, he admitted that it was still under discussion.

"The ticket price is still being formulated. I haven't said it yet but it's being formulated regarding ticket prices. So, we are still discussing the price," he said.

Rosan also said that previously he had also tried the fast train and it was going well, where the speed had reached 350 km per hour.

"Incidentally, last week I also tested that the fast train was running well, reaching the top speed above 350 km per hour, it was also going well," said Rosan.

The Jakarta-Bandung fast train is the first fast train service in Indonesia and Southeast Asia which will operate at speeds of up to 350 km/hour.

The Jakarta-Bandung fast train has a 142.3 km long route with 13 tunnels and will serve four stations, namely Halim, Karawang, Padalarang, and Tegalluar.

To improve connectivity, the Jakarta-Bandung fast train will also be connected to the Jabodebek LRT, Cafeeder, Commuter Line Bandung Raya, busrapid transit,shuttle, and taxis.
