Rocky Gerung Cancels Clarification Of Hate Speech To Jokowi, Asks For A Reschedule Of The Day After Tomorrow

Political observer Rocky Gerung has canceled his clarification regarding the alleged hate speech against President Joko Widodo at Bareskrim Polri, today. Rocky asked for the process of requesting information to be postponed the day after tomorrow.

"Today the person concerned cannot be present for examination," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro when confirmed, Monday, September 4.

However, Rocky Gerung's reason for not being able to attend was not explained to fulfill the clarification call.

It is only said that the information on the absence of political observers has been conveyed to investigators by his team of lawyers.

Djuhandhani also conveyed that Rocky Gerung asked for the rescheduling of the clarification the day after tomorrow.

"Asking for the examination to be postponed to September 6," said Djuhandhani.

The clarification process against Rocky Gerung is a follow-up to dozens of police reports (LP) that have been received from all regional police ranks.

Dozens of reports were decided to withdraw their handling to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In detail, Bareskrim Polri received two reports, Polda Metro Jaya three reports, Polda East Kalimantan 11 reports, Polda Central Kalimantan three reports, and Polda North Sumatra two reports.

Then, from the dozens of reports, the investigation team of each regional police has conducted an interview report (BAI) to the witnesses. At least, there are 85 witnesses and experts who have been questioned.

"There have been 72 witnesses in BAI and 13 experts," said Djuhandhani.

Reports against Rocky Gerung began with podcast content broadcast on YouTube Refly Harun. Rocky Gerung's statement at the event was considered to contain elements of insulting Jokowi and unethical.

Some of Rocky Gerung's words or statements that are considered to contain hate speech are;

"Once Jokowi loses his power he becomes an ordinary person, no one cares later. But Jokowi's ambition is to maintain his legacy. He offers IKN, pacing to the coalition, to find clarity on his fate," said Rocky in the video.

"He thinks his fate is not our fate, it's b****n yang t*l, sekaligus b***ng*n mengguruh. Kalau dia b***ng*n smart, dia mau terima berbahan dengan Jumhur Hidayat. Ajaib, b**ng*n tapi mengguruh," lanjut Rocky mengkritik Jokowi.
