Collecting Debt From DPRD Members, Women In South Jakarta Apartments Are Even Persecuted

The police are following up on a report by a woman with the initials AG who is suspected of being a victim of abuse by DPRD members in an apartment in the Tebet area, South Jakarta. Based on information from the perpetrator, it is suspected that a member of the Takalar Regency DPRD, South Sulawesi with the initials WEP.

Information was obtained that the woman met with WEP to collect debts because it was the beginning of the month. However, when billed by the legislative member, he got angry and beat him.

Tebet Police Chief, Kompol Jamalinus LP Nababan confirmed the incident. The incident occurred in the Casagrande apartment, Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Friday, September 1.

"Reports exist, but others we cannot provide information." said Jamalinus when confirmed, Monday, September 4.

"(The perpetrator) is not a boyfriend or something, but his confession is a member of the DPRD," he continued.

Jamalinus admitted that he could not speak much about the case, because he needed to first investigate the victim. Moreover, his party also had to check CCTV at the crime scene (TKP).

"Yes, his request, he is still in shock, everything is still sick, so we can't force it. (Later) from the statement, we can do it," he said.

Regarding the victim making a report when his condition was full of wounds, Jamalinus confirmed. However, he has not been able to speak in more detail regarding the injuries and causes.
